Romeo is dumb because the murder was impulsive, and impulsive killers are documented as being less intelligent than calculating killers, after all Romeo would have to be an idiot to kill someone in plain sight after being told he’d be executed for doing this.Ĥ. True it was sort of self-defence but he didn’t have to kill Tybalt, he could have incapacitated him, but he killed him anyway. Anyway, killing someone in the street impulsively is never really a great idea. Firstly, Mercutio’s death is kind of Romeo’s fault anyway because he blocks Merc’s deference by stepping in front of him, so Tybalt can stab him, his stupidity helped kill Mercutio. After leaving the church (for no apparent reason after the wedding), he ends up killing his wife’s cousin out of revenge. He proposes to a girl he meet a just few hours before (do I even have to explain why this is dumb by moderen standards? People today wait three years on average before doing this)ģ. This shows how dumb he is because he puts himself in danger to go to the party just because he has a crush on a girl there.Ģ.
